Pierre-Frederic Achard (born the November 4th 1808 with Lyon - died the August 13rd 1856 with Paris) was a Acteur French 19th century.

Biography

Pierre-Frederic Achard was the son of a workman of the industry of silk. He initially played several years in theaters of province before coming to Paris. In 1834, it began with the Palais Royal and created many roles there. It had also the idea to introduce small interludes sung during the intervals. Its ditties were worth a certain success then to him.

In 1845, it passed to the Théâtre of the Gymnasium, but returned to the Palais Royal in 1850. It also made long rounds in province.

Its spirit, its excessive volubility were worth some criticisms to him. Thus, Théophile Gautier wrote in this connection “ whirling volubility and the activity of spinning top do of them one of the actors more deafening universe ”.

It passed to be the actor best paid of the Palais Royal.
