Pierpoljak , from its true name Pierre Villemet , was born the September 7th 1964 with Paris.

Biography

In the Years 1980, one finds it within a group Punk and Skinhead, Samu 92. Adulating the great English legends, it ends up flying away for London and finishes in a squat where it discovers… the Reggae. After a stay in prison, it is made engage as sailor on commercial bound for the the Antilles.

It is posed there consequently to write and to compose under the pseudo one of Sold off Peter, who will become Peter Pan thereafter. The Barclay label notices it and proposes to him to produce its first album: In Jamaïca . We are in 1995: Pierre Villemet becomes Pierpoljak.

Encouraged by the reception of the public, in particular to the Transmusicales of Rennes 1997, it leaves in Jamaica to record a second opus Kingston Karma , supported by the appointed producer of Jimmy Cliff and of fire Bob Marley, Clive Hunt. Not less than one million specimens will be sold, particularly thanks to individual the I cannot play .

In 2000, it decides to found the collective “+2cœurs=soleil” and gives their chance to the young hopes of the French reggae (Asher, Supa John, Daddy Mory). It is also the year of publication of its new album: I do that I want . But Pierpoljak falls ill and decides to take a spiritual retirement in the Caribbean. Far from giving up its art, it prepares actually the album Stim Turban which will leave during the summer 2003.
