Physical Geography
The physical geography is the branch of the Géographie which describes the surface of the Ground and which is not interested directly in the human activities. It is thus by definition a science of nature. One also speaks about geography of the mediums.
It includes/understands:
- the Geomorphology, which is interested more particularly in the form of the Relief;
- the Hydrology, which studies the distribution and the behavior of the rivers;
- the Oceanography, is very study relating to the Mer S and Océan s¸;
- the Climatology, which observes the tendencies to the long-term, the characteristics and the evolution of the climates;
- the Glaciologie, which analyzes the dynamics of the Cryosphère;
- the Pedology, is the study of the ground S;
- the Paleogeography, which means the geography of old the (territorial history, heritage of the great morphological units);
- the Biogeography, is the study of the alive mediums compared to their distribution in space (the Biotope S and the Biocénose).
