Philippe of Orleans (1396-1420)

Philippe of Orleans , count de Vertus (1396 - 1420). Wire of Louis Ier of Orleans and Valentine Visconti. The April 15th 1410 by the Ligue of Gien it adhered to the party Armagnac. At the time of the Paix of Auxerre (August 22nd 1412) it was decided that Philippe of Orleans would be plain with Catherine of Burgundy girl of Jean without Peur, duke of Burgundy but this marriage was never celebrated. Philippe of Orleans, count de Vertus died at the twenty-four years age without being married, therefore without posterity.

According to a legend Camille Claudel the sculptor and his brother the poet Paul Claudel would go down from bastard of Philippe of Orleans, count de Vertus whom it would have designed in his Champagne grounds.
