Pennsylvanien
The Pennsylvanien is a geological time corresponding to the higher Carbonifère and extending from 318,1 ± 1,3 with 299 ± 0.8 million years. It makes following the Mississippien.
This period also corresponds to the Silesian , a European denomination extended to the Serpoukhovien and consecutive with the Dinantien.
It is characterized by the formation of the Pangée which raises the mountains hercyniennes and the presence of vast tropical forests on the vast ones extended in North America, in Europe, and in North it China, which left important deposits of coal. ----
