Peninsula of Noto

The peninsula of Noto (能登半島, Noto-hantō ) is the largest peninsula on the coast of the Mer of Japan. It is located has approximately 300 km in the North-West of Tōkyō. Most of the peninsula belongs to the Préfecture of Ishikawa.

Geography

The peninsula of Noto is divided into 3 areas.

Kutinoto

The southernmost area of the peninsula, with the towns of Hakui, Hodatu-Simizu and Sika.

; Large Temple of Keta (Hakui): The first temple Shintoïste de Noto. Many young women come to request there the god of the love and the marriage. ; Nagisa Driveway (road of beach): A beautiful road on the sand beach hard. Although it is not paved, it allows important speeds.

Nakanoto

The central area of the peninsula, with the towns of Nanao and Nakanoto.

; Wakura thermal Springs (Nanao): Very good resource of health. This city is terminus of JR-West (Railroad Occidental Of Japan KK). ; Island of Noto (Nanao): Large island in bay of Nanao. The famous aquarium is there.

Okunoto

The northern area of the peninsula, with the towns of Suzu, Wajima, Noto and Anamizu.

; Temple De Soji (Wajima): Large principal temple of Buddhism of Soto Zen. Here older cathedrals, and newest place on the Préfecture of Kanagawa, now. ; Mitsuke Jima ( the island found ) (Suzu): The name comes from the legend according to which Saint Kobo (the founder of Buddhism esoteric in Japan) found its stick magic here, with the return of its study trip in China.
