Peninsula

A peninsula is part of emerged grounds attached to a continental mass by a zone relatively less broad than it (like a Isthme). It is distinguished in particular from a Presqu'île by its dimensions, on a continent scale auquelle it is attached. A strip of land surrounded by water on three sides. Example: peninsula of Mexico
