Pedro María Anaya

Pedro María Anaya (1795 with Huichapan - May 21st 1854 with Mexico City) was a Mexican soldier which took part in the Guerre of independence of Mexico. He was Ministre for the war and the marine of 1832 with 1833 then again in 1854. During the américano-Mexican War, he was President by interim of Mexico, the April 2nd 1847 with the May 20th 1847, to replace Santa Anna which ordered the army.

Then as a General, the August 20th 1847, it fought the invaders at the time of the Bataille of Churubusco around the convent San Pablo, which shelters today the Museo Nacional of mow Intervenciones (National museum of the American intervention).

At the time of its rendering, General the Twiggs greets it, deploying all the military decorum, then asks him to give its weapons and ammunition to him. It is claimed that Anaya would have answered him, " If will hubiera parks, No estarían ustedes aquí" (If we had some, you would not be here.)

He was President of the republic by interim one second time, of the November 13rd 1847 with the January 8th 1848. He is Managing director of the stations when he dies in Mexico City on May 21st, 1854.
