Peach Girl (ja ピーチガール Pīchi Gāru ) is a Manga and a Anime kind Shôjo conceived by Miwa Ueda. The manga is published in the Japan by Kodansha and in North America by TOKYOPOP. To Japan, the manga left 1998 to 2003 and animates it, in 2005. The manga comprises 18 volumes and animates it, 25 episodes. There exists also an adaptation in drama Taiwanese of 2002 cash 20 episodes.

Short summary of the history

Peach Girl is the history of Momo (which means “fishing” in Japanese), a high-school girl. Its skin bronzes easily and its hair is faded because it belonged to the team of Natation for several years. Its appearance gives him the air of a Ganguro , kind of woman of easy virtue, although it is not. His/her only friends are SAE (although it is not really a friend…) and Toji, a boy of which it has been éprise for several years. Momo is with the catches with SAE and Toji when it meets another boy, Kairi.

Characters

Momo Adachi : The main character. Its skin is sunk and its hair reddened by chlorine, giving the impression which it is an animal of beach, therefore carried to promiscuity. On the contrary, Momo is a timid girl and insécure, although it has a wild temperament.

SAE Kashiwagi : The “best friend” of Momo. Its pretty features, pale skin and black hair, contrast with those of Momo. Its innocent appearance is only the surface of its machiavelic nature . SAE is very jealous of Momo and wishes to make it unhappy.

Kazuya " Toji" Tojigamori : A player of Baseball of which Momo is éprise since years. It has good heart, but is heading and always does not realize of what bursts the eyes.

Kairi Okayasu : A colleague of class of Momo, very without concern and popular. It has a reputation of Playboy. Momo helped it, in the past, when it practically drowned, with the beach. Its interest for it is revived when SAE starts to spread rumors like what Momo and it were embraced. It is him which gives to Momo its first kiss.

Ryo Okayasu : It is the older brother of Kairi. He works in the industry of the video and is used as male equivalent with SAE, although it is much more dangerous.

Aki Misao : The Nurse of the school and a kind of big sister for Momo. Misao was already tutor for Kairi and is an old flame of Ryo.

Oji " Jigoro" Goro : A Mannequin man which is enthusiast SAE without knowing and including/understanding its true personality. It uses it in its handling against Momo.

Morika : An young woman who has, a long time ago, already be couples some with each one of the Okayasu brother. Morika wants to be avenged for Ryo and uses Kairi against him.
