Pavel Victorovich Terentjev
Pavel Victorovich Terentjev is a Soviet herpetologist , born the December 23rd 1903 with Sébastopol and dead the December 30th 1970 with Leningrad.
It makes its studies at the university of State of Moscow. During its studies post-docorales of 1922 with 1926, it directs the Terrarium of the zoo of Moscow. It leaves to Leningrad, where it occupies various functions of 1934 with 1970, of which the pulpit of zoology of the Université of Leningrad. He also works at the institute of zoology of the Academy of Science of Russia. Terentjev plays a great part in the protection of the collections at the time of the head office of Leningrad during the Second world war. It obtains its doctorate in sciences in 1944. It makes appear, with Sergius Aleksandrovich Chernov (1903-1964), the Synopsis off the Reptiles and Amphibians off the USSR which knows four editions, of 1936 with 1965, of which one in English.
