Patriotic movement for the revival
the patriotic Movement for the revival (MPR) is a political party Mali in created in 1995. It is directed by Choguel Kokalla Maïga. The MPR asserts the heritage of the mode of Moussa Traoré. It was in the opposition to the president Alpha Oumar Konaré.
In 2002, Choguel Kokalla Maïga obtains 2,73% of the voices. With the second turn, the MPR supported the candidature of Amadou Toumani Touré.
Into the following legislative elections, the MPR integrated the coalition “ hope 2002 ” with the Rassemblement for Mali and the democratic National congress of initiative (CNID). The MPR takes part in the government of Ahmed Mohamed Ag Hamani then of Ousmane Issoufi Maïga.
The symbol of the MPR is the tiger and its currency “ Unité and Défense of the Fatherland Malian ” (UDPM, the same initial ones as the Democratic Union of the People Malian, sole party under Moussa traoré!).
