Pathet Lao
The Pathet Lao indicates the national Party communist which took the control of the Laos in 1975.
Founded in 1950, the Pathet Lao (Country lao) joined the Vietnamese soldier Minh, in the resistance armed against the French Colonization in Indo-China. In 1956 a legal party, the patriotic Face lao ( Neo Lao Hak Xat ), is created and takes part in many government coalitions.
Of 1964 with 1975, the Pathet Lao combat the government American pro of Vientiane and gains the control of the north and the east of the Laos.
In spring of the year 1975, the forces of the Pathet Lao consolidate their seizure on the country by controlling the near total of the Laotian territory.
The government of Vientiane falls in May 1975 and the leaders of the Pathet Lao form a new government.
