The toponym Parbayse appears in the forms Partbayse (1535, titles of Monein), Share-Baysa and Parbaysa (respectively 1538 and about 1540, reformation of Béarn), Parbaïse (1776, enumeration of Parbaïse) and Parbaise (Chart of Cassini).It means side of the Fall , of the Gascon share , side and name of the Baïse river.
