Panafrican patriotic Convergence
The Panafrican patriotic Convergence ( CP ) is a political party Togolese.
Created in 1999 by the fusion of the Togolese Union for the democracy (UTD) , the Union for the democracy and solidarity (UDS) , the Left the Democrats for the Unit (PDU) and the Started from action for the development (PAD) .
Of obedience panafricanist and rather of center-left, the CP is one of the most important political parties of Togo. Its Founder president, Edem Kodjo, was in the past, Minister for the economy and finances, then foreign affairs of Togo, before being a general secretary of the Organization of African Unity at the end of the years 1970.
From June 2005 in August 2006, the CP was PDR and the PSR, one of the Togolese opposition parties associated with the government, its leader Edem Kodjo while being the Prime Minister.
