Pan-American plays 2007

The Pan-American Plays 2007 , quinzièmes of the name, were held of the 13 with the July 29th with Rio de Janeiro with the Brésil. 5500 athletes of 42 nations were with the catches in 28 sports for 330 podiums.

Designation of the host city

Rio de Janeiro was indicated like host city of these quinzièmes Pan-American Jeux the August 24th 2002. Only one another city was candidate with this organization: San Antonio (Texas) with the the United States. The vote of the 51 members of the PASO gave 30 votes for Rio against 21 for San Antonio.
