Some of these festivals were dedicated to a guardian god related or not on the passage of time or the meterologic conditions (the Gallic venerated inter alia Sucellos, dispenser of richness, guard of the craft industry and agriculture).

Festivals of the natural cycles

Certain festivals are related to the end of great work of Récolte, and make it possible to celebrate in opulence the attics again filled. It can be a question of also accommodating the reappearing light (Imbolc on February 2nd) or of celebrating the fertility (Beltane May 1st).

Samain

Samain ( Samonios in Gallic) is important a Celtic festival since it marks the one year end and the beginning of the news, as well as the end of the clear season and the beginning of the dark season. It lasts one week full in the neighborhoods with on November 1st exactly 40 days after the autumnal equinox, under the crowned administration of the Druide S. It is one special period where the veil between the world of alive and that of deaths would be raised…
