Presentation

Member of the Alliance of the Lords and eternal adversary of the town of Luskan, Padhiver is a city built in seaside, in the north-western part of the kingdoms. Often called the Pearl of north , Padhiver is regarded as a city tolerant, opened, and controlled with brilliance by the Lord Nasher Alagondar, old adventurous and champion of Tyr.

The principal gods venerated in the city are Tyr, Heaume and Oghma.

Its population is made up in majority of human and half-elves. The city also accommodates the dwarves and the gnomes extracting the ore in the neighbouring mountains and some elves not having felt the call from the Retirement. A good means of coming into contact with the population is to pass one evening to the Mask of Pierrelune, a famous inn.

The work of the gardeners and the craftsmen in pottery, glassmaking and sculpture also grants to him the nickname of Cité of the skilful hands . One of the prides of Padhiver is in addition all three bridge above the homonymous river, each one being overhung by a sculpture, respectively of a dolphin, a dragon and a wyverne. The Padhiver river has an astonishing characteristic, which was worth its name to him and induces that of the city. Although running out in the north of Féérune, its water never freezes and stores a certain heat resulting from Chaudenow Mount, the extinct volcano where it takes its source. This heat involves a concentration of the marine animal-life to the mouth of the river, which does not fail to contribute to the good economy of the city. Some also think that the name of the city comes from the superb work of the gardeners who flower the streets and the gardens all the year during.

Although calm and thrives, the city must from time to time face the attacks of the orcs descended from the Backbone from the world and with the incursions of the troops and spies of Luskan. The strengthened walls of the city are enough, with the guards of the city, to calm the belligerent intentions of the orcs; but in order to counter the spies of Luskan, the Nasher lord prohibited the publication of the detailed plans of the city.
