PSR J1119-6127

PSR J1119-6127 is a young Pulsar located in the Constellation of the Carène. It is about the youngest pulsar whose no emission of high energy (visible, X-rays, Gamma rays) was detected.

Its characteristic age is 1600 years, and its Period of very large rotation for a pulsar of this age, 407 Milliseconde S, a situation comparable with that of PSR J1846-0258. This fact could be explained by the fact why this pulsar is those whose deceleration is highest: 4× 10 -12   s· S -1 .
