The Oscar of the best actor (English: Academy Award for Best Actor) is a cinematographic reward decreed each year, since 1928. This one is decreed with an actor of cinema industry by the Academy of Arts and the Culture of the Cinema (English: Academy off Motion Picture Arts and Sciences). The nominations for this rewards are decided by actors and actresses members of the academy, gaining it is elected by all the members of the academy, as for the other prices.

The Oscar of the best actor rewards an actor for his performance in only one film, and not for its performances all along its career, nor for all the films in which it turned for the year in question, except for the first year, in 1928.
