Orthodoxe church of Western Europe and Americas

The orthodoxe autonomous metropolitan Church of Western Europe and Americas or autonomous Métropolie of Milan and Aquilée (known also under the name of Holy synod of Milan ) is a orthodoxe Église noncanonical, old woman-calendariste and traditionalist. The chief of the Church carries the title of Archevêque of Milan, Métropolite d' Aquilée and of all Lombardy , with residence with Milan in Italy (titular current: Its Bliss Euloge Ier or Evloghios Ier).

History

The Auxentios archbishop of Athens of the Church of orthodoxe Christian truths of Greece - Synod Auxentiite with the bishops Kallistos and Antonios, devote the Gabriel Archbishop of Lisbon on June 18th, 1978. This last devotes with the bishop Tiago de Coïmbra, the Evloghios archbishop of Milan on September 25th, 1984. Same the annéee, Mgr Auxentios signs the tomos Autonomy of the Metropolis of Portugal, Spain and Western Europe and names like first primacy Mgr Gabriel of Lisbon. In 1988, the parishes of Spain, from Portugal and Brazil are received in the communion of the Polish orthodoxe Église, Mgr Gabriel gives up its title of primacy. The parishes of Italy remain faithful to Mgr Evloghios of Milan which becomes the new primacy of the orthodoxe autonomous metropolitan Church of Western Europe and of Americas until today.

As regards apostolic succession, the orthodoxe Church of Western Europe and Americas is placed in the line of the Église of orthodoxe Christian truths of Greece, itself in the line of the Russian orthodoxe Église except borders.
