Organometallic compound
A organometallic compound is a chemical Composé comprising at least a connection carbon-metal. It is nevertheless current that one indicates under this term the whole of the compounds combining a metal and a Composé organics. The organometallic compounds are indicated by the prefix “organo-”.
This family includes/understands mainly:
-
the mixed Organomagnésien S, also called “reagents of Hard grindstone”, the name of their discoverer;
- the Organolithien S;
- the Organocuprate S;
- the Organozincique S;
- the Organostannanes S;
- the Organoboronique S;
- the Organosilane S;
- the Organoétain S;
- …
The organometallic compounds, amongst other things, are used like Catalyseur S in the chemical reactions. It is for example the case of some derived from platinum, palladium, ruthenium and other metals rare.
An important part of the organometallic compounds, are thus the compounds presenting a connection carbon-metal. Among them, one counts in particular the Métallocène S (like the Ferrocène S) of formula (C5R5) 2M The latter for example are used in certain syntheses (methods CVD) of the nanotubes of carbon.
