Op3era Comique
Lyric kind of the 18th century, the Op3era Comique drift of the Comedy-ballet, with many loans with the repertory of the serious airs and with drinking. It is born on the trestles from the Foires the St. Lawrence and Saint-Germain where, after being prohibited, the song is again authorized (1714). It will make the beautiful days of the Théâtre of the Op3era Comique.
The Op3era Comique is distinguished from the “grand opera” by its outcome, always happy. He addresses himself to a popular public. He alternates between dialogs spoken (with asides with the public) and sung scenes. Contrary to the grand opera, the récitatifs are absent. The Op3era Comique tackles subjects of the daily life and does not hesitate to refer to subjects of topicality.
