Onyx

Description

OnyX is a Application compatible with all the computers Macintosh PowerPC and Intel equipped with the Operating system Mac OS X of Apple. It is a multifunction utility which allows:

To check the state S.M.A.R.T
To check the structure of the filesystem
To carry out the principal maintenance actions of the system
To configure certain parameters hidden of the system and certain applications…
To empty masks Internet, applications, police forces, system, core…
To force the basket to empty
To remove a certain number of files and cumbersome files become
To visualize the detailed informations of your configuration
To visualize the various histories and reports/ratios of problem
Réinitialiser the posting of the contents of the files (to remove the files .DS_Store)
To rebuild the indices of Spotlight and of the mailboxes of Email
To check the preferences
To seek files and files
To post the pages of handbook Unix

Development

Created in 2003 per Joel Barrier alias Titanium, the very first version was intended only for its developer for its personal needs. Developed using Xcode, the environment of development of Apple (Cocoa - AppleScript Studio + Objective-C), OnyX did not cease evolving/moving grace in particular to the suggestions of many users and the application is regularly updated by its creator. OnyX is a Freeware. It is thus free, freely usable and without any restriction.
