Ontarian general election of 2003

The Ontarian general election of 2003 is held the October 2nd 2003 in order to elect the 103 Député S of the 38e legislature to the legislative Assemblée of the Ontario (Canada).

The election is started the September 2nd by the Prime Minister Ernie Eves in order to benefit from an upward trend in the level of support to the Parti progressist-conservative Ontario according to the power failure nors-American of 2003. However, it is the Liberal party of Ontario, directed by Dalton McGuinty, which gains the victory and is led to the capacity with a majority Gouvernement.

1 Richard Butson was the single candidate of the Confederation off Areas Party

² Ten candidates presented themselves under the name of “  Revival indépendant  ” ( Independent Renewal ). It was about the Parti Marxist-Leninist under another name.

³ Of the candidates of the Party indépenant reformist and the communist League was also presented as independent.

4 Costas Manios was presented as “a   Liberal indépendant  ” after being refused as a liberal candidate in Scarborough-Center. The deputy outgoing Claudette Boyer had sat at the legislative Parliament as a liberal independent of 2001 to 2003. ran ace year " Independent Liberal" candidate after being denied the opportunity to run for the Liberal Party nomination in Scarborough Centers. Outgoing MPP had sat in the house ace year " Independent Liberal" from 2001 to 2003 .

It is possible that other candidates who appeared on the bulletin as independent were candidates for not-recorded parties.
