Ogryn

The Ogryns are a species of the Univers of fiction of Warhammer 40,000.

Ogryns are abhumains with the gigantic size and the impressive breadth. They are used within the imperial Garde to be used as support for the infantrymen for the body-with-body.

Characteristics

Ogryns measure on average between 2 meters and 2 meters 50 and are extremely massive, from where a force and an endurance with the combat quite higher than that of human normal. Nevertheless, they show a certain stupidity, which returns the influence of the drive limited. They appreciate the confined places little, and prefer to evolve/move with feet that transported by an unspecified vehicle.

Martial organization

Ogryns are organized in sections of ten individuals, often ordered by Bright one, Ogryn which underwent an surgical operation enabling him to exert the role of sergeant within the unit.

Armament

Ogryns use mainly the Gun Ripper, enormous handy rifle but with the relatively short range, adapted to their morphology and being used to them as blunt weapon at the time of mixed. They also have of grenades with fragmentation and summary armours, conferring a light protection to them on the various projectiles, but not blocking their movements lasting the battle. The bright one can have access to a more important arsenal, although they often prefer to keep their basic weapons, which theirs are more familiar and remain for them more effective.
