Official reception of Recognition

The Gala of Recognition is a demonstration Senegal ease which, each year, distinguishes a personality, paying a homage international to a reference of the national cultural life and the famous representatives of this alive sector in the Diaspora.

The event is organized by the Management company of the Official reception of Recognition (SGGR). It was launched in 2004, on the initiative of Ndiawar Touré, deputy and mayor of Rufisque and meets a growing success.

Distinguished personalities

In 2004, it is Boubacar Joseph Ndiaye, the Conservative of the Maison of the Slaves to Gorée, which was rewarded.
In 2005, the SGGR honoured Doudou diaye Rose, the large Drum Major de Dakar.
In 2006, the prize winner was El Hadji Mansour Mbaye, the president of transfer traditional of Senegal.
on June 26th 2007, to the Martinique, the fourth edition of the Official reception will pay homage the day of its 94 years to Aimé Césaire - this famous companion of Léopold Sédar Senghor and father of the Négritude -, an event which will see also launching, by the State of Senegal, of the third world Festival of negro Arts with Fort-de-France.
