Octon
Octon is a common French, located in the department of the Herault and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Its inhabitants is called Octonais.
Geography
The village is located on the edge of the Lac of Salagou; it is in an environment of garrigues and vines. The landscape is marked by a ground of red rocks (the ruffes ) and by hills which are old lava flows. The climate is Mediterranean, soft the winter, heat and dryness the summer. The autumn is the period of strong precipitations.
