Ob
The Ob is a Fleuve of Siberia, most Western of the three large rivers of direction south-north which drain this area.
Geography
Ob takes its source in the mounts Altaï. It throws in the Arctic Ocean via the Golfe of Ob, arm of the sea to undecided contours length of 1000 km and pertaining to the Sea of Kara. Its length is of 4012 km.
It runs out primarily in plain: in Biysk, more 3000 km of its mouth, it is not any more but with 200 m of altitude (either a slope of 66 cm per kilometer). The result of this weak slope is that its basin is very marshy. The catchment area of Ob covers a surface of approximately on the whole: 4575000 km ². It is about the vastest depression of the world.
