OCRopus

OCRopus is a free software of Optical character recognition with analysis of page layout developed with the assistance of Google for their project Google Books . A beta release should be available during the first four-monthly period 2008 pennies License Apache 2.0.

For the moment the only module of recognition is Tesseract, one of the ROCK most exact in the field of the free software.
