Nuclear plant of Mochovce
The Nuclear plant of Mochovce ( Atómové elektrárne Mochovce into Slovak) is located close to the village of Mochovce, with semi way of Nitra and Levice in the District of Levice and to 120 km of Bratislava.
Description
The power station is currently equipped with two pressurized water reactors (REFERENCE MARK) of Soviet design of the type VVER-440/213, whose construction started in 1983.- Mochovce-1 : 440 MWe, MSI in 1998 per 30 years (2028).
- Mochovce-2 : 440 MWe, MSI in 2000 per 30 years (2030).
- Mochovce-3 : unfinished engine.
- Mochovce-4 : unfinished engine.
The engines 3 and 4, whose construction had started in 1985, remained unfinished following the Catastrophe of Tchernobyl. The Italian company of electricity Enel envisages to take part in the construction of these nuclear blocks to complete it about 2013. According to Greenpeace, technology places from there in the current power station of Mochovce is obsolete because old of almost 40 years and the new blocks should be built according to this same diagram.
