Notre-Dame basilica of Low-Wavre

The church Notre-Dame of Low-Wavre is a Basilique (since December 1999, have regard to its secular radiation largely exceeding the limits of the parish) of the Walloon city of Wavre in Belgium. It owes its origin with the Sanctuary dedicated to Notre-Dame de Paix and of Harmony.

History

The basilica is built at the 16th century and the 17th century on the ruins of a Prieuré Bénédictin of which there do not remain traces. At that time, the church belongs to an occupied monastic complex until in 1797.
