Nicolas Lefèvre , born with Montfort-l' Amaury in 1588,

He embraced the Règle of Saint-Dominique, and, after having completed his studies with the convent of Saint-Jacob in Paris, was accepted Doctor of Divinity with Bourges, in 1628. His talents for preaching having pointed out it, one charged it with various employment in several houses of his kind, and when Louis XIII had gone Master of La Rochelle, Lefèvre restores in this city the convent of Dominican, destroyed by the Protestants during the civil wars, and prior was named by it. He assisted, as definitor of the province of France, in the general chapter assembled with Rome in 1650. Of return to the La Rochelle, it died there in 1653.

  3. Manual eecclesiasticum historicuma Christo nato AD 1646 , La Rochelle, 1646, 2 vol. in-8°;
  4. Agématologie , i.e. Speech of the assembly of the provincial chapter celebrated in Chartres , Angers, in-8°. This work contain-of the interesting details on the history of the town of Chartres, the Defense of the Saint Rosary and chain, La Rochelle, 1646, in-4°.
