Nicolas Chédeville , born the February 20th 1705 with Will be (the Eure) and dead the August 6th 1782 with Paris is a Compositeur, hautboïste, player of haversack and editor French.
Biography
Born young person from a family of three brothers musicians who controlled as a virtuoso the haversack (the shape baroque of the bagpipe) Pierre Chédeville (1694-1725), Esprit Philippe Chédeville (1696-1762). Nicolas and Pierre made known themselves as editors of various works, of which Amusemens de Bellone of 1735, collection of works for haversack, violin, flute and oboe.Louis Hotteterre his uncle and godfather is factor of wind instruments and player of haversack and oboe to the Orchestra of the Opera. With died of his uncle in 1732, it takes the station in the royal orchestra of the Opera the Large Oboes until 1748. It Marie at the 70 years age with the girl of her servant who before was used the Duc as Orleans. Bad manager, it knows financial problems, his ten houses are sold with the auction, it separates from his wife and, in 1777, it takes again the load of musician near the Large Oboes. He dies 5 years later.
Nicolas Chedeville says “the Junior”, hautboïste at the Court of Louis XV, will take again on his account some numbers of the opus VIII - of which the Four Seasons Spring - by enriching the instrumental unit by the stamps, how much pastoral, of the recorder and the hurdy-gurdy with wheel. Work
“ the player of accordion music more celebrated France ” says one of him. Its first compositions are works of haversack and Vielle with wheel: the pastoral Recreations (1729), other more succeeded works of the kind will follow. In 1737, it launches out in the publication of personal compositions inspired by the Pastor Fido of Vivaldi. Its interest for the Italian music enables him to receive the privilege to publish arrangements for the haversack and the hurdy-gurdy with wheel or the flute of the work of 10 Italian type-setters: the amusing seasons (1739) is the resultant of this privilege: an original transcription of the Four seasons of Vivaldi for hurdy-gurdy and haversack.
