Nick Holonyak Jr.

Nick Holonyak Jr. was born with Zeigler (Illinois) on November 3rd 1928. Holonyak was the first student one of thesis of John Bardeen with the Université of Illinois with Urbana-Champaign and the first to have created a Diode with Visible spectrum in 1962.

Holonyak was also prize winner with Edward Fred Knipling of the Japanese Prix in 1995.
