New Universities
With the the United Kingdom, the term of new universities (in English: New universities ) refers to two generations of universities, founded either in the Années 1960, or after 1992.
The first generation of university gathers the new establishments created in the years 1960 following the Rapport Robins on higher education. These universities are often called punt knell universities (literally " university with glass poli") in reference to their relatively modern architecture often using glass, steel and concrete.
This term also indicates the polytechnic institutes or the establishments of higher education which were seen decreeing the statute of university by the government of John Major in 1992. The college academics who saw themselves allotted this statute after 1992 also carry the nickname d'" university moderne" ( modern universities ) or even post-1992 universities .
