The New Jersey Pride is a professional team of stick, based with Piscataway Township in the state of the New Jersey. Since the season 2001, the team evolves/moves in the Major League Lacrosse and it is currently in the Conference Is ( Eastern Conference ) after having been in the National Division before 2006.
History
In 2001, the first year of existence of the league, Pride played its matches with the Yogi Berra Stadium (3 748 places) in Montclair State University. The team played her home matches with the Commerce Bank Ballpark (6 100 places) of Bridgewater Township (New Jersey) in 2002 and 2003. For 2004 and 2005, Pride played its home matches on the Sprague Field (5 700 places), football stadium of Montclair State University. Pride took part in the playoffs in 2002 and 2003.For the season 2006, Pride moved of its stage running until the Yurcak Field of 5.000 seats located on the campus of the Université Rutgers, which is the residence of the teams of Soccer and Lacrosse of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and is officially called " The Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium At Yurcak Field " in the honor of Ronald NR. Yurcak (a player of Lacrosse AlAmerican de Rutgers in 1965). The stage lays out of a grass of 120 X 75 feet of surface of play, with lighting and the modern drainage.
