The neoprene is the name of mark under which the company Dupont Chemicals markets a family of rubber containing polychloroprene . It is the synthetic first elastomer .
It is a Polymère manufactured starting from the Monomère chloroprene (monomeric Diène). One can write the equation of the Polymérisation:
CH2=CH-CCl=CH2 => (CH2-CCl=CH-CH2) n
