Nationalist party occitan

The nationalist Parti occitan more usually called today Parti the nation occitane (PNO) was created in 1959 with Nice by François Fontan which wrote in others Ethnisme, the key. It is very active, its positions on Europe or the world is visible through press releases. The Parti the nation occitane publishes the quarterly review Lo Lugarn Lou Lugar published by the editions of the same name. This party has a relative importance in dynamic linguistics in Occitanie under Italian, Spanish or French administration.

It is presented in the form of a moderate, democratic nationalist party and an antifascist. It is detached from principal the other political movements occitans which support more or less openly the Socialist party, the Verts even the extreme left Frenchwoman.

Its principal theory refers to the theory of the Ethnisme and the Humanisme according to which all the nations of the world are made up on linguistic bases. It is the language which determines the existence and the limits of the nation. Its theory is in its original form concentrated in the writings of François Fontan like most known Ethnisme.
