National parks of France

The France account in 2007 nine national parks , each one being managed by a national public corporation related to administration, coordinated since 2006 by a new national public corporation, National parks of France .

List French national parks

• the National park of the Cevennes
• the National park of the Jewel cases
• the National park of the Guadeloupe
• the National park of Mercantour
• the National park of Port-Cross-country race
• the National park of the Pyrenees
• the National park of Vanoise

Two new parks were created in 2007:

• the Amazonian Park of Guyana created in February 2007
• the National park of the Meeting created in March 2007

National parks in project:

• the National park of the creeks envisaged for 2009

Frequentation

According to a source of the National parks ASTERS (study of frequentation be 2000 and 2001), the number of pedestrian visits is of:

• 750.000 for the national park of the Jewel cases (Isere, Hautes-Alpes)
• 427.000 for the national park of Mercantour (the Alps Maritime)
• 391.000 for natural reserves of High Savoy
• 366.000 for the national park of Vanoise
