Nanomatériau

A nanomatériau is a having material of the particular properties because of its nanometric structure. It is usually resulting from the Nanotechnologie.

Nanomatériaux currently studied or exploited

  • Nanotube S of Carbon or Boron nitride metal

  • Nanoparticules: metal spheres of nanometric size. These nano-objects can be synthesized by chemical way (growth) or physics (molecular jets).
  • Ceramic Nanopoudre of (silicates or oxide of Titanium): obtained by vaporizing metal and/or organic precursors in a flame at very high temperature. These nanopoudres has properties in the surface treatment material (hardening), materials biocompatible (implants Os seux) and conducting polymers in particular.
  • Nanofibre, in particular of carbon: these materials have properties which interest the field of electric conductivity, the mechanical resistance and the biocompatible implants (artificial muscles). They can be also used to store hydrogen effectively.
  • Nanofeuille of glass: their use is considered in the field of the optical disks. The density of information could be multiplied by 4 by this process, implementing the oxide deposit of Cobalt on the surface of the disc. Processes implementing chromium, Zirconium and cobalt let hope for densities even more important.
  • Nanofilm of DNA: these films have filter, exploitable properties in particular in the environmental field.
  • Nanocristal: for example, artificial Diamond having electric properties making it possible to manufacture new Microprocessor S. the natural crystals, like the Opal or the sapphire are subjected to research.
  • Nanocomposites: composite materials having properties of hardness and wear resistance.
