Nanclars
Nanclars is a common French, located in the department of the Charente and the area Poitou-Charentes.
Its inhabitants name the nanclardois .
Geography
Nanclars belongs to Boixe, to 26 km in the north of Angouleme, very near in the east to RN10, and thus in the south of Poitiers to 93 km and of Ruffec to 26 km.
History
- the Tumulus of Terrières attests of a very old occupation.

Nanclars was called initially Nanclers or clear water because of presence of sources and brooks feeding the three laundrettes.

It was a village of hawkers what brought a certain richness which is shown in the stone-built houses.
