NIN (magazine)

NIN , in Serb Cyrillic НИН, is a Serb Hebdomadaire published in Belgrade. Its name is the Acronyme of Недељнеинформативненовине/Nedeljne informativne novine, " newspaper of information hebdomadaire". It appeared for the first time the January 26th 1935 and disappeared the same year after 26 numbers. It was refondé the January 7th 1951.

Presentation

NIN is a news magazine, which was acquired a reputation of quality by opening its columns with the greatest personalities of the Yugoslav company then Serb, that it is in the field of arts, sciences or the sports. On the other hand, after the fall of Communism, the magazine had to take a more popular tone to resist commercial competition. There remains nevertheless a magazine of reference.

NIN is currently in the course of privatization. 60.9% of its capital must be sold with the biddings the September 29th 2007. The starting price is of 13,2 million dinar S, that is to say: 170000 Euro S.

Literary prize NIN

Each year, in January, a special jury decrees a price with the best novel of the year. This Prix NIN (Нинованаграда/Ninova nagrada) became one of the most honorary rewards for the contemporary Serb authors.
