Music Man
History
Music Man is a manufacturer of low Guitare and founded by Leo Fender in 1974 after its departure of the company Fender in 1965.In fact the project Music Man started since 1971 starting from discussions between Forrest White, Tom Walker and Leo Fender. The first product manufactured by this new company will be an amplifier, Sixty Five. It is into 1976 that first low Stingray will be presented. It is noted that Sterling Ball, current president de Music Man attended the design of this low. After a succession of problems as well human as industrial, Leo Fender will leave Music Man in 1979, to found G&L.
In 1984 the company was at the edge of the bankruptcy and was bought by Ernie Ball.
The range of the instruments was restored and packed of model like the Silhouette. From 1991 to 1995, Music Man manufactured signatures EVH-model for Eddie Van Halen, which will integrate then the range Axis . Music Man also manufactured Amplificateur S, used for example by Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter or Albert Lee. The model Eddie Van Hallen was the first model of the mark has to have a notable business success.
Currently
Currently, Music Man produces instruments of high-end as well as cords under the mark Ernie Ball, head office of the mark. Among the musicians playing on Music Man, one can quote the guitarists John Petrucci, Benji Madden, Steve Lukather, Steve Morse (of which models " signature" are available), Dave Farrel, Patrick Haid, and the bass players Tony Levin, Sugar Ray, Flea, Cliff Williams, Robert Trujillo…

Music Man granted a license of manufacture to PLO, a mark of guitar reproducing of the copies of the models Music Man to lower costs. The mark Music Man thus does not appear on the instruments.
