Museum of fit with body

The museum of fit with body is a Musée located at Versailles (department of the Yvelines in France) which presents a Collection Carrosse S of XVIIe, XVIIIe and XIXe centuries. It is attached to the public corporation of the museum and the national field of Versailles.

This museum, created by the king Louis-Philippe Ier in 1851, is installed in the Grande Stable, historical building due to the architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart, located opposite the Château of Versailles, which lodged at the time of the kings the saddle horses of the king and the Court. During its creation, it was installed with Trianon, then transferred in the Large Stable in 1985.

The collection includes/understands Carrosse S, of the Berline S, the Traîneau X and the sedan-chairs. It was consisted king Louis-Philippe when he decided to transform the castle of Versailles into museum.
