Multi-field arts
Multi-field art was born from the central position of the artistic work within contemporary creation. In fact the needs for its realization will determine not only the Matériaux to use, but also different the artistic médiums necessary.
We can note two main tendencies:
The artists of the performing arts, coming from artistic disciplines specifies or slightly metized which widen gradually the fields of competence by incorporating other forms of arts in their art first.
A new wave of artists plastics technicians (often resulting from multi-field schools) which uses all arts directly as materials with the service of works that they have to create.

In the performing arts, multi-field a spectacles category is present in much country at the level of the administrative machinery and subsidizing (in general creation in is recent and it has only small budgets).
The " dance theater " or " theater dances " (according to whether it is a Chorégraphe or a Director of theater which is at the origin of the spectacle) formed integral part of the multi-field one. The name dances theater is generally used, since the largest experts of this kind were and are besides always choreographers.
The term Theater and Dance (and Circus) rising from long and old tradition, are always used like separate categories and offers a resistance especially due to the capacities subsidizing, but in reality the interpenetration of all the scenic disciplines is increasingly frequent and natural, like besides, but to a lesser extent, that of other arts.
