Mark portable digital players Korean specialized in the readers with Mémoire flash (of 128MB with 8GB).
MPMAN is the inventor of the reader portable MP3 in 1997 (the reader, not format MP3).
Name MPMAN is inspired by the names used by Sony at the time: Walkman, Discman. One can imagine that if MPMAN had not been the first, Sony would have used this name.
This first portable reader MP3 in the world was the MP-F10. At the time the memory was of in-house 16MB is approximately 4 songs. The external storage could accommodate 64MB maximum is a total of 18 songs (today 20000 songs with the IPod 80GB).
The company was created by Mister Moon (Korean, old engineer of Samsung) following the patent filling of portable reader MP3.
MPMAN started by manufacturing for Toshiba in Europe and Eiger Labs with the the United States before manufacturing under its own brand.
The distribution started with the Japan and in Korea before developing in Europe starting from 2001.
