Movement constitutionnalist of Gilan

The Movement constitutionnalist of Gilan (also called movement Jangal : " movement of the forêt".) was a rebellion against the monarchy of the Qajar S in Iran which took place between 1914 and 1921. One regards this movement as an extension of the constitutional Révolution of Iran.

History

Flag

The flag of the Jangal movement was a red banner on which the name Kaveh was written (a popular hero of the Shah Nameh). It was in reference to the Derafsh-e Kaviani and that symbolized the fight of the movement against the monarchical central government in order to establish an Iranian democratic republic.
