Motoren Fabrik Oberursel
Motorenfabrik Oberursel AG was a German manufacturer of engines for the car, the railroad and aviation.
History
The company was founded in 1892 by the engineer Wilhelm Seck in Oberursel in Hesse. (Oberursel is today the North-western suburbs of Frankfurt on the Hand ). It then will amalgamate with other German companies:- the Deutz AG in 1921,
- Humboldt-Deutz Motoren in 1930
- Klöcknerwerken in 1938
Motorenfabrik Oberursel belongs today to BMW. Since the repurchase of the automobile mark Rolls Royce by BMW, and the creation of a subsidiary company Rolls-Royce Motor Bus Ltd (principal factory close to Goodwood House, the U.K.), the factory raises the initials Rolls Royce.
