Morlaàs is a common French, located in the department of the Yrénées-Atlantiques and the area Aquitaine.

Its inhabitants is called Morlanais.

The grounds of the commune are sprinkled by the Luy de Béarn and by the Luy de France, affluents of the Luy.

  • Romance Church Holy-Foy (XIe century). The gate is the part being the most of interest, and proves the last importance of the city.

Famous people

Jean-Anne-Henri Depaul (1811-1883): Originating in Morlaàs, he was senior registrar in Paris, surgeon at the Hospital of the assisted children, professor of private clinic obstétricale to Faculty, and also general adviser of the canton of Morlaàs. He died in his property, with the Castle of Sarrabat, anobli by Napoleon III, from where the " de" of Depaul. Its bronze bust was molten by the Germans; its reconstitution is now installed close to the church.
