History
Between 1871 and 1914, Morhange ( German Mörchingen in ) became a small brigade ordered by Prussian , with a barracks in the city.The city is leant with hills. These hills were truffées small strengthened fortifications, which constituted famous the " Wall of Morhange ". The French Armies - which had managed to penetrate in annexed Lorraine - ran up against it and were forced to move back in August 1914.
The French Armies thus returned only in 1918, after the signature of the Armistice.
